A major challenge
The challenge was to safeguard the heritage elements that are still present, integrate the parts that have been transformed over time and enhance the whole by adding contemporary elements.
Preservation of heritage
The vaults have been preserved in the entrance hall and in the bathroom of the apartment on the ground floor, giving the place a great charm. The tiles in the entrance hall have remained as they were, reminiscent of the farm's history. A nod to history was made, as the parquet floor, which is 100 years old and has been transformed into decorative woodwork. The traditional skylights are reinterpreted as watchtowers.
